FAQ

There are many questions that arise when looking for the right dumpster rental services. We understand that and have created a list of the most common questions people ask when calling us.

How much does it cost to rent a dumpster?

This is a great question that cannot have a pinpoint answer. A few factors that change the price of a dumpster will be the dumpster size, how long you will need it for, where you live, and what material you are throwing in the bin. It’s important to call a few local providers to get some prices, but you should note that the majority of companies in a specific area will have pretty much the same pricing all around.

How do I find the best dumpster rental companies near me?

There are many places to look when searching for the best providers in your area. The quickest way to do this is to use Google and search for “dumpster rental + city you live in.” This will give you the best matches for what you are looking for. Craigslist is another good resource for finding companies to rent dumpsters from.  You can get a lot of information about local roll off providers just by their craigslist ad.

What are roll off containers used for?

Roll off containers are used for pretty much anything that creates a lot of junk. Some examples would be home remodeling, deck removal, basement and garage cleaning, home construction, landscaping projects and more. If you need junk removed for any reason, the best action to take would be renting a dumpster. They are also used for shingle removal and window and home siding replacement projects.

How long can I rent a dumpster for?

It depends on the company you are renting from, but the majority of dumpster rentals are for 1 week. It’s best to call up your local dumpster provider and get this information directly from them.

What size dumpster should I use if I am remodeling my kitchen?

A 20 yard dumpster is usually the most commonly rented dumpster for this type of project.

What size dumpster should I use if I am tearing down my deck?

Depending on your deck size, 20 yard and 30 yard dumpsters can be rented out this type of project. If your deck is 300-400 square feet, then a 20 yard dumpster would be best, but if your deck is more than 400 square feet, a 30 yard dumpster will get the job done.

What size dumpster should I use if I am cleaning out my house or garage?

If you have a large garage or home, a 30 yard would probably be best for you. If you have a small to medium size home or garage, then a 20 yard would typically work best for that.

Do contractors rent dumpsters?

Yes. Contractors are one of the most consistent renters of roll offs. They need them for home construction and landscaping projects, as well as commercial roof tear offs. They usually rent out the big 40 yard bin for those types of projects.
